The Dunstone Design team is led by Churchill Fellow and Master Craftsman Evan Dunstone who was trained by David MacLaren OAM, founder of the Bungendore Wood Works Gallery. Dunstone Design is arguably the best equipped small batch production wood workshop in Australia with more than 650 square metres of modern workspace and a gallery space that is open to the public.
Evan Dunstone is sought after as a teacher of woodwork and furniture design. He has taught at the Australian School of Fine Furniture (Tasmania) the Wood Workshop, Canberra School of Art, and at the Sturt School for Wood, Mittagong. Evan is a regular contributor to Australian Wood Review magazine and was a speaker at the first AWR L!VE event.
Evan is one of the driving forces behind Wood Dust, The Australian International Timber and Woodworking Festival, held from the 17th to the 21st of October 2018 in Queanbeyan and Bungendore. Dunstone Design will host the Wood Dust Masterclasses from Wednesday 17th to Friday 19th October.
The workshop and showroom are co-located at 3/5 Aurora Pl, Queanbeyan. Open Tuesday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, and 10am to 2pm on Saturdays.
