Bungendore Wood Works Gallery is arguably the world’s premier gallery for fine woodworking and in 2018 celebrates its 35th anniversary. As co-producer, major sponsor and host for AWR Studio Furniture 2018, the gallery will present cash awards totalling $15,000, with a first prize of $10,000.

Elite woodworking machinery manufacturer Felder Group Australia will present the Felder Award for Fine Woodwork, a Hammer N4400 bandsaw valued at $3166.

AWR Studio Furniture 2018 also carries a special meaning for Australian wood artists as it is dedicated to Matthew Harding, a talented multi-media artist whose loss this year is widely mourned.

Designer-makers all over the world were invited to enter AWR Studio Furniture 2018 by submitting a portfolio of images. Works by shortlisted entrants will feature in the exhibition. All entries can be seen at www.woodreview.com.au

The exhibition will open during Wood Dust on Saturday evening 20th October and run until 31st January 2019.
